We’d like to thank everyone who came out on the 5th to our “Better Living with Arthritis” seminar; especially Cindy from the Arthritis Foundation for all her help organizing and promoting the event.We’d like to thank everyone who came out on the 5th to our “Better Living with Arthritis” seminar; especially Cindy from the Arthritis Foundation for all her help organizing and promoting the event.We had four speakers present in their area of expertise regarding osteoarthritis and knee pain, which is the most common type of arthritis affecting nearly 27 million Americans.Dr. Carroll spoke in depth about the Reflex Treatment program for chronic knee pain. He went into detail about how each treatment we offer: HA injections, off-loading braces, supplements, and the Bionicare system can all work together to help reduce pain and improve the quality of life for those suffering from osteoarthritis.Tyler Carey, our Corrective Exercise Specialist went into further detail about how the Bionicare system and Off-Loading braces work. He is specially trained to fit braces to ensure maximum pain relief and joint support.Ken Hirons, a patient of ours came in and spoke to our guests about what it’s like to go through the Reflex experience and what kind of results he achieved from his personal on-going treatment with us. It was a great opportunity to ask questions of someone who has been on the other side of fence, so to speak. We know that no one can speak better to how effective our treatments are than someone who has gone through the program themselves.Lastly, Neoma Palmer, a Physical Therapist came in to share her expertise on how important Physical Therapy is as a part of your treatment program. She explained the different types of physical complications that can arise due to years of moving with compensation patterns and why it is essential to have yourself retrained to move properly and strengthen your muscles to further reduce your knee pain.We also held a raffle to win a gift box of our doctor recommended health supplements for joint support, as well as a free initial knee evaluation with one of our physicians. Thank you to everyone who participated in the raffle, all the proceeds are going to buy gifts for the Metro Children’s Toy Drive.We hope to hold another seminar sometime in 2013.
